
My friend Megan and I whipped up a smoothie before church a few weeks back. We threw in a bit of randomness and ended up with a creamy dream. Ever since that day, I have been obsessed. The smoothie cup has been replaced with a bowl, so that I can add extra toppings. The raspberries, granola and whipped cream toppings are inspired by the good taste of my lovely sister Kirsten, who celebrated her quarter-century birthday this month!
Ultimate Smoothie Bowl
Serves two:
1 banana (fresh or frozen)
1 c. frozen berries
1/2 c. avocado
2 T cocoa powder
1 T nut butter (almond works great)
handful of ice
milk (soy/almond/cow) to desired smoothie thickness…add gradually as you blend.
Blend. Top with fresh fruit, cereal, granola, cocoa powder, cinnamon, whipped cream…
